Visiting counselor /life coach Emerson Scott will be available for appointments from afternoon of Friday, 7th August, till noon on Monday, 10th August.
All students and researchers are invited to make use of this opportunity for personal guidance, be it academic or personal. This can include empathetic and non-judgemental listening/ academic counselling/motivational counselling for life issues or trauma /life coaching/ mental health, distress and grief counselling, (but not including psychotherapy/psychiatry).
Note: These sessions are not chargeable.
Interested persons are encouraged to seek a prior appointment only through their BITS Email ID. Please mention your preferred slots clearly with your contact number for easy communication.

Note: Meeting without prior appointment is not allowed.
The appointments will be given on a first-come-first basis. Last moment requests are discouraged as there might not be time to accommodate them.
Avoid last minute drop outs after taking an appointment. In case of cancellation due to emergencies, kindly inform in advance as much as possible, so that others will not lose out.
Please note:
· Always carry your BITS ID card.
· Keep mobiles switched off throughout the session. It is a private interaction and should not be recorded.
· Counselling/consultation is strictly meant for students and not for parents.
· Parents/friends cannot take appointments for, or accompany the student.
· Please reach on time, otherwise other appointments get affected.
These services may be rescinded for those not following the guidelines.
Please note: Academic Counselling Cell (ACC) is a student outreach body. ACC is a completely separate body from ACB. ACC is a support group of faculty mentors and counsellor, who offer mentoring and counselling, and do not take any decision on student performance as ACB does.
ACC is there to walk alongside students with the objective of enhancing academic ambience on campus.
