Extended Library Timings for Comprehensive Examination : 25-04-2026 to 15-05-2026: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Dear All,
We are happy to announce the extended library hours from 25 April 2026 to 15 May 2026 to support your preparation for the upcoming comprehensive examinations starting on 2 May 2026. During this period, the library will remain open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 AM, providing sufficient time and space for your studies.
Students are requested to adhere strictly to the following guidelines to ensure a disciplined and effective study atmosphere:

During this period, the library will remain open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 AM, providing sufficient time and space for your studies.
Students are requested to adhere strictly to the following guidelines to ensure a disciplined and effective study atmosphere:
- Please carry your Student ID card and mark your attendance. Entry will not be permitted without a valid Student ID card, and the Student ID card is not transferable.
- Silence and decorum must be maintained at all times within the library premises.
- Movement within reading rooms and common areas should be kept to a minimum.
- Group discussions are strictly prohibited inside reading rooms.
- Consumption of food and beverages is not permitted in the reading areas. The Central Zone Dome area may be used for this purpose. Carrying food items or beverages from outside is not allowed.
- Students are requested to dispose of empty water bottles in the designated dustbins. Empty bottles should not be left on reading tables or thrown under the tables.
- The use of mobile phones inside the reading room for making or receiving calls is not permitted. Students are advised to step outside for calls.
- Issue and return of books will be available until 9:00 PM only.
- Reference books will not be issued during this period to ensure availability for all.
- Sleeping inside the reading rooms is strictly prohibited.
- Students are advised not to leave their belongings unattended. Any laptops, tablets, or other materials left unattended for more than 30 minutes will be collected by the library staff to make space available for other students.
- Any form of indiscipline will be dealt with strictly by the on-duty library staff.
- In case of any disturbance, students are requested to report the matter to the on-duty library staff immediately.
- The library will not be responsible for the loss of any personal belongings. Students are advised to take proper care of their valuables at all times.
