How to break into Venture Capital | CEL <> Gateway by TVF

Greetings from CEL, BITS Pilani!
With a budding entrepreneurship culture in the country and a rising need for capital to fund innovative startups, we have seen the rise of many Venture Capital firms in India recently and many BITSians have made their way into some amazing firms. VC Firms, which were typically known to hire only MBA graduates about 2-3 years back, have now started hiring undergraduates like us, given their expertise in understanding tech and business. However, breaking into VC is quite difficult and we have seen a lot of peers with questions such as: “How to get a VC Internship?”, “What does a day in the life of VC Analysts look like?” and many more.
CEL brings to you “How to break into Venture Capital” with Gateway by TVF, an interactive panel discussion on how can one get into the world of Venture Capital and build a career in it. We will be hosting Nishtha Sethi and Himansu Varghese who run “Gateway by TVF”, a community of students interested in breaking into Venture Capital.

About the panel:
- Nishtha works as an Investment Analyst at Lumis Partners, an Alternative Asset Platform that partners with seasoned entrepreneurs to build funds focused on themes with opportunities of a global scale. An alumnus of the prestigious Shivaji College (Delhi University), she has previously worked as a senior analyst at Social Alpha, a multistage innovation curation and venture development platform focussed on DeepTech. She got into Social Alpha and the world of Venture Capital right after graduating college.
- Himansu works as an Analyst at Inflexor Ventures, a sector agnostic venture capital firm that invests in early-stage startups leveraging technology IP/innovation in sectors such as HealthTech, FinTech, Consumer Tech, CleanTech, EdTech, DeepTech and AgriTech amongst others. He worked at Simpl, a BNPL startup for about 2.5 years before breaking into VC.
