Greetings from the Student Alumni Relations Cell!

 

Ever heard of Sabeer Bhatia (Co-founder of Hotmail Corp.), Prithviraj Chavan (Ex-CM of Maharashtra), and Sriharsha Majety (Co-founder and CEO of Swiggy)?

They are all accomplished alumni of our institute and were in your exact position a few years ago. If you're eager to connect with these illustrious graduates, consider joining the Student Alumni Relations Cell; it might be your ticket to engaging with our esteemed alumni. We have hosted events with Sanskriti Dawle (Co-Founder and CEO, Thinkerbell Labs), J.C. Chaudhary (Founder, Aakash Educational Services Ltd.), Harish Bhat (Brand Custodian, Tata Sons) and many more stellar alumni.

Here is a list of events and initiatives done by SARC:

1. Dialogue: A closed-door networking event focused on giving students the chance to have personalized interactions with successful alumni of BITS Pilani.
   
2. Director’s Tea Party (DIRO): Conducted for the graduating class each year, it is marked by an overwhelming exchange of addresses between professors and students.
   
3. Reunions: We also organize the silver, ruby, and gold jubilee reunions each year by managing on-ground logistics.
   
4. BITS and Beyond: It is the podcast series hosted by SARC, where we invite stellar alumni for a fun unscripted podcast. Check it out on YouTube and Spotify. Some prominent names we hosted over our podcast include Mr. Mayur Patnala, the Nirmaan organization's co-founder, Soumitra Saxena, lead Technical Director at Dreamworks, and Ms. Vidya Madhavan, Founder and CEO of Schmooze.
   
5. Yearbook Portal: Imagine it to be an online version of your typical yearbook. It’s a platform where students from the FD 2020 and HD 2022 i.e. the soon-to-be graduating batch, can interact, leave captions on each other’s profiles, take part in quirky polls set by us, and reminisce about their friendship over the years. This initiative also had several hundreds of active users within a month after its launch. (Website, Trailer)
   
6. Batch Snaps and Yearbook: Have you ever seen those college batch photos and Yearbooks that bring back a wave of nostalgia? Well, all the behind-the-scenes work, including organization and planning for all 30 branches and over 1000 individuals, is taken care of by us.

Being a part of the Student Alumni Relations Cell gives you access to an incredibly powerful alumni network. The best part is, you get to decide who you want to bring in for the event. So if you have an alumni that you really look up to, or think would be able to have a significant positive impact on fellow students, you have the freedom to make that choice.

 

We are now recruiting for the 2023 batch! We are looking for enthusiastic and determined minds for the following verticals:

Please note that there are no prerequisites for any of the verticals, all the necessary resources required for the completion of the task will be provided to you. Interested students can fill out this form.
