DAA-2023 Felicitation to Professor Suvrajeet Sen

We extend our warm invitation to an upcoming alumni talk by Professor Suvrajeet Sen on “A Novel Program in Systems and Operations Engineering at BITS, Pilani: Why, What, and How?” This insightful session promises to explore the program’s vision, its significance in today’s academic and industry landscapes, and its unique approach to systems and operations engineering education.

Following the talk, we will host the Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA-2023) felicitation ceremony to honor  Professor Suvrajeet Sen  for his remarkable achievements and contributions to his field and to BITS Pilani.

 

A brief introduction to Prof. Sen: Prof. Sen is a renowned scholar in optimization and operations research, currently a Professor in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Southern California. Known for his pioneering work in stochastic and large-scale optimization, he has developed mathematical models with applications in energy, finance, supply chain management, and infrastructure. Throughout his career, Prof. Sen has been widely recognized for his research excellence, publishing extensively and mentoring students. As a distinguished alumnus of BITS Pilani, he remains closely connected to the institution, contributing to the advancement of its academic programs, especially in systems and operations engineering.
