Request to Register for the Two-Day Capsule Course on Standardized Development and Building Regulations, 2023

Respected Madam/Sir,
Bureau of Indian Standards, the National Standards body of the country responsible for formulating Indian Standards in the various fields of science and technology, has introduced CAPSULE COURSES on various standards/special publications of national importance. These short training courses have been devised with the objective to train our aspiring professionals on the essence of various provisions covered in such standards/special publications for ensuring health, safety and environment protection as well as to resolve their queries/concerns relating to the interpretation and implementation of provisions of these standards. These Courses are also targeted to help professionals in acquiring state-of-the-art knowledge in that particular field which would boost their confidence and help them to deliver their services in a better and efficient manner.
One such course has been devised on the most recent Special Publication of BIS, namely, SP 73 : 2023 'Standardized Development and Building Regulations, 2023', which marks a significant step towards revolutionizing India's built environment. Aligned with the National Building Code of India 2016 (NBC 2016) and incorporating global best practices, these model regulations aim to ensure safety, accessibility, and sustainability in construction across the nation. The document emerges as a beacon of uniformity, designed to streamline structuring and detailing of the development and building regulations of the States/Union Territories, as well as to streamline the building regulatory system across the nation without compromising the specific needs of individual states, union territories and local bodies.
The two-day Capsule Course on Standardized Development and Building Regulations, 2023 is scheduled to be held on 16-17 December 2024 at National Institute of Training for Standardization (NITS), Noida. The brochure of the Capsule Course is attached.
The training programme is being conducted by BIS at a nominal fee of Rs 1500/- plus 18% GST. However, there is no training fees for Government officials (Central/States/UTs), officially nominated by the Head of their Department/Organization.
The registration for the Capsule Course can be done online on the BIS Training Portal through the link, www.manakonline.in or through e-mailing filled up application form (copy attached) to nits@bis.gov.in latest by 15 December 2024. On-spot registration on the day of training through payment by NEFT is also possible.
The sessions will be taken by the experts in this field who are also involved in the preparation of the Code.
Buildings Professionals such as Architects, Engineers, Town Planners, Builders and Developers, officials of Town and Country Planning Departments, Development Authorities, Municipal Corporations, State Housing Boards, State PWDs, and all those concerned with city planning, building regulation, and planning, design, construction and maintenance of buildings and built assets and facilities, must attend this programme.
Certificate of participation will also be provided to delegates who will complete the two-day training course.
It may be noted that the hostel facilities at NITS, Noida are not available during the period. Stay arrangements in nearby hotels may be made by the participants at their own cost.
