The Bureau of Indian Standards is organizing a webinar on the theme “Technological Advancements in Stainless Steel and Standardization" on 20 March 2026, 03 : 00 PM
The webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of topics related to stainless steel, including an introduction to the fundamentals of stainless steels, their basic characteristics, and the opportunities they offer across various industries. It will also cover the fundamentals of different stainless steel grades and highlight their industrial significance. In addition, the session will discuss important Indian Standards in the field of stainless steel that have been recently revised or amended.
The programme will feature the following distinguished speakers:
1. Sanjiv Maini (Scientist-F, HMTD, BIS)
2. Ram Sai Kumar Gedela (Scientist-C, BIS)
3. Prof SankaraRaman Sankaranarayanan (National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli)
4. Shri V. Narasimha Rao Komisetti (Jindal Stainless Limited Hisar)
