[font]We are excited to bring to your attention a compelling development in the world of healthcare research. Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) has taken centre stage during the recent G20 summit, presenting a host of potential opportunities that we feel BITS Pilani can actively contribute to & benefit.[/font]
[font]Brief Background[/font]
[font][font]As a part of the recent G20 New Delhi Decleration, one initiative is aimed at [font]implementing the One Health approach to enhance pandemic preparedness and strengthen infectious disease surveillance. The Government of India is dedicated to improving healthcare systems and curbing ongoing pandemics like AIDS, TB, Malaria, Hepatitis, and water-borne diseases. The focus is to prioritize tackling Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) through robust R&D efforts, aligning with the One Health approach (Page 12 of New Delhi Decleration).[/font][/font][/font]
[font]This aligned focus will soon open doors to funding opportunities in the area of AMR, infection prevention & control. We firmly believe that BITS Pilani can leverage these opportunities by leading the charge with innovative ideas and networking.[/font]

[font]In light of this, we see BITS Pilani as having the potential to make significant contributions to this dynamic field. We invite all faculty members to join hands and collaborate in pursuit of this exciting opportunity.[/font]
