CAPSULE COURSES by BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS
Dear Faculty Members,
Bureau of Indian Standards, the National Standards body of the country responsible for formulating Indian Standards in the various fields of science and technology, has introduced CAPSULE COURSES on various standards/special publications of national importance. These short training courses have been devised with the objective to train our aspiring professionals on the essence of various provisions covered in such standards/special publications for ensuring health, safety and environment protection as well as to resolve their queries/concerns relating to the interpretation and implementation of provisions of these standards/codes. These Courses are also targeted to help professionals in acquiring state-of-the-art knowledge in that particular field which would boost their confidence and help them to deliver their services in a better and efficient manner.

*There is no training fee for Government officials (Central/States/UTs) officially nominated by the Head of their Department/Organization for the training courses highlighted in yellow. We kindly request you to depute senior officials to participate in this training programme. For your convenience, we have enclosed the detailed Brochures of the programmes.
Key Highlights of the Training:
· Certificate of Participation: All participants will receive a certificate of participation upon completion of the course.
· Practical Insights: The training module includes detailed coverage of concerned codes and standards and their practical applications
· Faculties: Esteemed members involved in the concerned technical committees of BIS.
Accommodation at NITS' hostel is available at a nominal cost. Charges are as below:
· Rs. 1500/- plus GST per person per night for room on double sharing basis; and
· Rs. 2000/- plus GST per person per night for room on single occupancy.

In case of any difficulty in registering for the course, you may send the nominations for the course through email to nits@bis.gov.in. In such a case, we will facilitate on-spot registration and payment of course fees and hostel fees, if applicable.
Considering that the seats are limited and would be provided on first come first serve basis, we once again request you to register/nominate officials/faculties from your organization/institute for the course, at the earliest.
