BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus Library in collaboration with Elsevier is organizing an Author Workshop on "Understanding research metrics & How to find relevant journals to publish in” on September 28th at 3:00 PM.

 
The webinar will cover topics around:
1. Understanding research and publication workflow.
2. Understanding Editor's mindset to improve chances of article acceptance.
3. Research Metrics (Journal/Author/Article)
4. Strategies to find the most relevant journals to read and publish in
5. Using ScienceDirect and Scopus to scout and analyze journals
Participants will be given a certificate of attendance.

The speaker for the session will be Mr. Vishal Gupta, Senior Customer Consultant-Elsevier. Mr. Gupta has 14 years of work experience in the domains of biotechnology, publishing, and data analytics. Currently, he is working with Elsevier as Senior Customer consultant-South Asia, where he is responsible for supporting Scopus/ScienceDirect/Mendeley users in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. His major responsibilities include: Engaging with ministries and Key consortiums. Vishal is a certified presenter of Author Workshops and a level 3 certified Mendeley trainer.
