I hope this message finds you all well.
Thank you for encouraging your academics and researchers to register for the upcoming professional development workshops offered to Global Connect Scheme
Partners by the University of Queensland.
We’ve received a large volume of registration so far.
This is a gentle reminder that the first Academic Publication Workshop will be happening in two-week time on Friday, 26 May
and still opens for registration.
It would be grateful if you could please remind interested faculties to register for the workshop.
Below are the details of the workshop:
Academic Publications (Part 1)
This training will introduce you to the principles of strategic publishing and help you make informed decisions about where and how to publish your research for a rewarding experience and growing research career.
- Think – An awareness of selecting a journal to publish in and identifying the quality of a journal.
- Check – Using your identifiers and maximising your impact.
- Submit – Preparing to submit and being strategic during the process.
Workshop Facilitators: Mr. Scott Macintyre and Ms. Anna Bagshaw, the University of Queensland
Scott Macintyre is an open scholarship specialist with 25+ years of experience in the tertiary and education sector. He is skilled in teaching and delivering workshops to both local and international attendees and provides training on publishing processes to academics and post-graduate students.
Anna Bagshaw has 20 + years of experience in the tertiary and education sector, in research roles in state government and the arts. Anna is a librarian in the Faculty Services Librarian team working alongside Scott in Scholarly Publishing and other teams in the UQ Library.
