[font]=#f8f8f8Prof. Banasri Roy and Prof. Somak Chatterjee attended the International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Environment (ICSEE-2025) held at the BITS Pilani Goa campus, 8-10 March 2025.[/font]

[font][font]Prof. Roy served as co-convener and delivered a talk on the occasion of Women’s Day. Her delivered talk includes discussing and exchanging engineering and scientific works, ideas, innovation, and contributions on Women’s Day. We must celebrate the vital contributions of women in STEM fields, such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Acknowledge the critical need to bridge the gender gap that still exists in these crucial areas of innovation and progress, and think about what could be done. Our young generation needs to know the pioneering women before independence and those who treaded the unconventional path. We should recognize and commemorate the Milestones of Women's journey in Indian perspectives of STEM. We salute The Trailblazers women of Indian Science and engineering. [/font][/font][font][font]It is a day not only to celebrate women and womanhood but also to acknowledge how far women have come over the years in terms of gender equality, women’s rights, and more. International Women’s Day also aims to support women across the world in achieving more in life. The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is ‘For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment’.[/font][/font]

 

[font][font]Prof. Roy and Prof. Chatterjee will share their experiences in the upcoming departmental seminar on 17th March 2025.[/font][/font]
