Title: Discotic Nano Composites as Advanced Materials for Optoelectronics

About the Speaker:

Prof Kumar is a distinguished researcher in the field of soft condensed matter. He did his PhD from BHU in 1986 and worked as a post-doctoral fellow in several renounced research labs across the world. He worked in Hebrew University, Israel Institute of Tech., Scripps Research Inst., and University of Mainz. He joined as a scientist in Center for Liquid Crystal Research and later moved to Raman Research Institute, Bangalore. Currently he is a professor in Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology. He has authored more than 300 research articles in International journal of repute. He has received several national and international patents. His research interests are synthesis and application of liquid crystals molecules, nanomaterials and nanocompsites.
